Samsung Galaxy: India's first Android based-CDMA phone
Bangalore: In a first for India's CDMA phones, Reliance Communications will carry Samsung Galaxy 1899- an Android based handset, on its network. The smartphone Samsung Galaxy 1899 will be India's first CDMA phone on the Android platform.
The Galaxy 1899 has a 3.2 inch touch screen display. The smartphone comes with a 3.2MP camera with LED flash. Other features include GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The phone comes with an internal memory of 230MB, and can be extended up to 32GB using a microSD card. It is powered by an 800MHz processor.
There have been no pronouncements about the pricing and launch details of the phone so far.
