Images of Sony Ericsson “Vivaz 2″ phone leaked, reviewed

In the lead up to the CES for mobile phones, the Mobile World Congress, images of a new Sony Ericsson Android-powered phone – dubbed the MT15i, or the “Vivaz 2″ – have appeared online after one Russian website managed to score the phone and has done a review.
The review, by Mobile-Review.com, has confirmed that the phone will be using Android 2.3 Gingerbread, feature a 1GHz Qualcomm processor (single core, not dual core), a less-than-4-inch display and two cameras, both featuring LED flash. The rear-facing camera has an 8-megapixel lens, while the front-facing camera has an unspecified lens. The user interface is said to have been improved, with a “more balanced” design.
It also features the BRAVIA engine that Sony had been touting for its phones, and the reviewer notes that it does have some performance issues – and once we get our hands on it, if it is ever released, we will see if it does have that issue.
It’s a mid-range phone, so don’t expect high-end features such as a cloud-based solution to store your data or enterprise-level security – features found on what we saw from Motorola’s CES phones lineup – but also don’t expect it to send your family budget into overdrive.
Hopefully, it comes out during Mobile World Congress, because we do hope that it is an improvement of other phones in the current lineup.
